We pride ourselves in giving back to community
“We are all throwing small pebbles into the lake and we can each have an influence on the ripples in our water…” Stacey J. Lombardo
At Infoshred we are committed to making a difference and helping to make the world a better place. Simply put we want to be part of the change and our hope is that others will see our giving spirit and might be motivated to give as well, therefore, establishing a chain of goodwill throughout the community.
The Giving Tree Fund established in 2012
Infoshred owner Stacey J. Lombardo established a donor-advised fund with Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to make an impact on the Hartford community. The Giving Tree Fund, made its first gift to Hands On Hartford’s Backpack Nutrition Program in Spring 2014. This program provides backpacks full of easy-to-prepare food during the school year for children in five Hartford public schools.

Hands On Hartford Toy Shoppe & Holiday Party Sponsorship – 2014
Infoshred sponsored the heart-warming event – Toy Shoppe and Holiday Party by Hands On Hartford.
The “Toy Shoppe” provides parents with the chance to shop (free of charge) for holiday gifts for their children. While parents are shopping, the kids enjoy a Holiday Party with music, food, holiday crafts, and a visit from Santa!
“On behalf of Hands on Hartford, I would like to thank Infoshred for its amazing generosity and dedication to those we serve and the Toy Shoppe Holiday Event.
As result of you kindness, thoughtfulness and giving spirit, over 500 children had gifts to open on Christmas morning! This annual tradition was enjoyed by more than 150 families. We are truly grateful to all those who make this unique and special event possible.” – Wanda Guzman

Shredding for The Open Hearth in Hartford – March 2013
The Open Hearth’s primary goal is to help homeless men enhance their capacity for self-help, self-respect, and dignity, and to achieve their full potential as responsible citizens of Greater Hartford and Connecticut. So when the Open Hearth needed to shred 2,811 pounds of material, Infoshred provided those services gratis. We feel that The Open Hearth can take the funds that they would have used for shredding and put them towards much needed services. We take pride that we can be a very small part in facilitating this program.
