Fuel Surcharge
Our goal is to keep the surcharge minimal, with adjustments tied to monthly fuel price averages, and to remove it as soon as prices fall below our base rate of $3.23. We appreciate your understanding and remain committed to transparency and fairness.
Infoshred applies a per‑pickup fuel surcharge based on the matrix below and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National U.S. Average On‑Highway Diesel Fuel Prices. We use the previous month’s average for the New England (PADD 1A) No. 2 Ultra‑Low Sulfur Diesel price to determine the applicable rate: https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel.
Each month we review the DOE index and adjust the surcharge accordingly. The surcharge will be removed when fuel prices fall below our base rate of $3.23 per gallon (the 2021 average).
We work hard to keep this surcharge as low as possible. Other companies in our industry apply fuel surcharges that are five to eight times higher.
