Temporary Fuel Surcharge
Infoshred has never instituted a fuel surcharge. Unfortunately, fuel prices are at all-time high levels and continue to be unpredictable. Infoshred has absorbed these increases for 9 months since July 2021 and can no longer continue to absorb them.
In April 2022 we implemented a temporary fuel surcharge per pickup based on the matrix below and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National U.S. Average On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices, https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel, previous month’s average of the New England (PADD 1A) No 2 Diesel Ultra Low Sulfur (0-15 ppm) Retail Prices (Dollars per Gallon). We will continue to monitor the DOE index and remove the surcharge when prices fall below our base rate of $3.23 (2021’s average cost per gallon).
We made every effort to keep the surcharge as minimal as possible. In our market research, many companies in our industry maintain permanent fuel surcharges six to eight times higher.
We appreciate your understanding of the dilemma we face as fuel costs increase. These fluctuations are beyond our control, and we hope we can remove the surcharge as soon as possible. Please feel free reach out to us at customerservice@infoshred.com if you have questions.
Based on the DOE August 2023 average of the New England (PADD 1A) No 2 Diesel Ultra Low Sulfur (0-15 ppm) Retail Prices (Dollars per Gallon), Infoshred’s temporary fuel surcharge for September 2023 is $1.91 per pickup.
